Ms. Wheelchair Arizona Pageants is about enriching and empowering the lives of women
who utilize wheelchairs through disability educational pageants and programs. Providing the
platform and opportunities for these women of achievement to successfully advocate and
educate the community regarding disability related issues on behalf of Ms. Wheelchair Arizona
Pageants that serves the State of Arizona on behalf of the Ms. Wheelchair America
organization.

Ms. Wheelchair Arizona Pageants started in 2004 reviving an earlier tradition in Arizona
which ended in the late 1980's. Although periodically we have had several independent
contestants representing Arizona at the Ms. Wheelchair America competitions, we are now in
our fifth year of representing Arizona within the formal modalities of an officially recognized
program as mandated by the Arizona District State Coordinator's office within the Ms.
Wheelchair America tiered state divisional program.

Although, Ms. Wheelchair Arizona Pageants is a women's development program, we cross
the gender divide into the main stream of society due to the disability educational services
the Arizona state program provides.

              Development Program:        MWAZP titleholder's, contestants and staff are
                                                              trained to become effective speakers and/or
                                                              presenters

                                                              regarding disability related issues
