Mesa Partnership for Children with Special Healthcare Needs
I’ve been introduced to an AWESOME organization; Mesa Partnership for Children with Special
Healthcare Needs. It’s comprised of volunteers and parents of children with healthcare needs
working towards connecting the young disabled community and their parents. I went a family
leadership conference through them and over two days learned so much on building
communities/organizations to get where they desire. Cindy, who heads it up is a wealth of
information, and such a joy to be around. I attended the conference with Shelly, a mother of a child
with a disability, and was also blown away by her knowledge. I can’t wait to see where this takes me.
I’m blessed to have this opportunity.
They meet every 2nd Thursday of Month, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mesa United Way, 137 E. University,
Mesa AZ.

regulations. I’m hoping that some day we can make Mesa an even
I recently had the opportunity to hand out awards at Arizona Desert
Challenge Sports (an organization that offers sports to those with different
handicaps) and it was fantastic. I met some very amazing people, both
handicap and able-bodied. It was held at the ASU atrium, which was a
beautiful site, and lunch was provided as well. Desert Challenge was just
